Rihanna Print Tee

I'm a big Rihanna fan (who isn't?) and when I saw this tee in Primark I had to get it. It's got a really nice kind of worn, flecked look to it and actually ties at the front, I just tucked it in. I got the skirt ages ago from River Island and never really wear it because I find it quite hard to style. This is a look I feel like I'll look back on and think, 'What are you doing?!' it's a little bit different and quite bright. I'm also not sure the boots are right, I think I meant to put on black military boots, dammit!

Ready for College

Wahay, I finally faced my fear of taking pictures outside! Yes it is awkward when daytime drunks and the elderly wander past but the quality is SO much better. It does mean handing over camera control to James a.k.a. director of photography though, which feels weird. I'm a big photography fan and the back drops are so much more interesting outside and make for far better photos than in my badly lit bedroom. Wow, that sounds seedy.

Quirky Print Tee

I do love a quirky tee and this crazy cat design came straight off a genuine Thai beach stall. I think it cost me about a pound, maybe two? I love it, nuff said.
I'm going out on a limb with the skinnies being so on show, I normally like to cover my ass area more, which is why I also wore my big, chunky aran jumper. I really like burgundy and cream together too, I know how you like to know about my colour preferences...

Sporty Chic

Usually, when I put an outfit together I don't really have a style in mind and this one ended up looking quite sporty. It starts with choosing one piece, in this case the pepper knit jumper, adding something appropriate to the bottom half, doing my hair and make up and then choosing shoes that will work with the look.
With day old hair I like putting it up in a messy, back combed bun, it's quick and easy and handy if you have falafel at lunch because you don't have hair blowing in it (I am referring to an actual event, we have a falafel man come to town for the Friday market and his falafels are darn tasty. Stop saying falafel.)

Burgundy Skinny Jeans

Let me introduce you to my new(ish) burgundy red skinny jeans, except they're not jeans, nor are they leggings. These, my friends, are treggings! It's a pretty great concept because they're super comfy and there's none of this restricted movement of skinny jeans malarky. Plus they have a proper trouser style zip and button combo and they're not see through like a lot of leggings. All in all, well worth £19.99 - thanks New Look!

Preppy, Layered and Casual

The preppy-ness continues!
I'm going to stop apologising for the preppy looks, it's Winter, it has been for about twelve years, the creativity is starting to wane. It's so easy to throw on some jeans and a jumper and the shirt underneath just adds a little something. It's actually a denim shirt but it's so pale you can't really tell. I'm now on a hunt for a nice regular denim colour shirt.

Classic French Style

This is my take on a classic French breton/trench/brogue look. Thinking about the word French makes me think of Joey 'Un, blu, bla, flu, flank!' (Friends fans will know what I'm saying.)
Aside from that, I've noticed that my general 'look' seems to be increasingly preppy these days. A lot of shirt collar under jumpers and so on. Also you'll be seeing a lot of coloured jeans because they're new and I wear things like crazy when they're new. I wish these jeans were a bit skinnier because I don't think they're as flattering as they could be but I love the colour.
Check out my hair! It's never been so big (that's what she said). Every time I watch Sex and the City I'm jealous of Carrie's hair, so I've been searching out how to do it and this look is done completely heat free. I know, I nearly didn't believe it myself!
