Navy

What I learnt while wearing this outfit is that pencil skirts make walking and getting out of cars really difficult. I'd been looking for a neutral pencil skirt and I really liked the sheer panels and texture of this one. I've found it a little difficult to style as I like to keep my stomach area under wraps but this navy jumper sat perfectly and I like the matchy matchy of it.

I went for matching white accessories in a bit of a nod to monochrome. I've been finding myself wearing these all-white Converse a lot lately. What can I say? I just love the comfort.

Thrift Shirt

I found this shirt ages ago in a charity shop after being inspired by endless Clothes Encounters videos. It's been sat in my drawers for a while before I re-discovered it and re-appreciated it once again. It's such a fugly pattern and colour but it has a great shape and a really defined collar, so I sort of love its ugliness.

Since the whole outfit is quite neutral, I jjj-d it up a bit with the statement necklace and my favey fave purple lipstick. Lipstick is the best.

It's definitely getting into in-betweeny weather with regards to coat wearing. I can guarantee if I leave the house in just a shirt (and trousers, you pervert) I'll be cold but if I wear a coat I will be a sweaty mess. How has anyone in history coped with this very real problem?

Styling a Jumpsuit: Day to Night

I love a good day to night outfit, there's something very pleasing about being able to make something that most people would class as a 'going out' outfit, into something wearable for the day. Not to mention the fact that it's seriously good value for money. Cha-ching.

I had been after a jumpsuit since the beginning of time (dramatic) and finding one to fit my bottom half and top half at the same time proved almost impossible, until I spotted this beauty in River Island. I hate spending big money i.e. more than £30 (hey big spender) on going out wear, so I will make it my mission to make that garment day friendly.

This is how I did it.

Jumpsuit: Daytime

For the day, I'm not really into plunging necklines, it's pretty frowned upon in the workplace, so I layered a t-shirt under the jumpsuit. I went with Nike Free Run trainers to up the casual factor but then balanced it with a smart blazer.

Jumpsuit: Nighttime

Styling a jumpsuit for the evening is easier, I think a black jumpsuit like this gives a nice opportunity to show off statement shoes like these hot pink wedges. Mmm so HOT!

I love this jumpsuit, it's super flattering and a great loose fit. The only problem, as with all jumpsuits, is that you have to get naked every time you need the loo.
