A Trip to Torquay

A couple of weeks ago we made a little trip down to Torquay. James' work holds a 'dinner dance' every year which I posted about here in 2013. On the way down we visited The Fish Shed in Topsham for some top notch fish and chips. It was pretty good but I think it would have tasted that bit nicer had it been the middle of July and we could have sat out on the terrace.

When we arrived in Torquay my wishing for a sea view room had apparently worked and we had a balcony/terrace type thing so it seemed the right thing to do to take some outfit snaps.

The evening wasn't really anything to write home about unfortunately. I was still getting over a cold and really couldn't get in the drinking spirit, so after trying to find a decent light to take a picture of my new River Island dress we gave in and went to bed. We did, however, win a box of Green and Blacks chocolate in the raffle, so all was not lost.

I'm not one to usually go all black, for some reason I forget that all black outfits are a classic. Still, I've managed to break this up a bit with lots of hints of gold because, apparently, I can't buy anything black without a little gold accent. Yes, I'm basically a magpie.

I'm getting really fed up with winter now, the amount of rain we're getting saps me of motivation to sneak out in the minute window of time when it's not Noah's flood going on outside in order to take photos. I am however, still on the hunt for a perfect grey coat and with loads of spring collections hitting the shops already, I feel like my coat of dreams is staying right there.
