I know, I know it's been a long while since I blogged which is really unusual for me. I jest.
But you see I've been on my jollies which I think is a valid excuse.
It is no easy task to pack for 12 days and 3 different climates, let me tell you. I started out in Barcelona,(after leaving arctic winds at Bristol airport) then on to visit my uncle and cousins in Southern Spain and finished up in Marrakech.
The temperatures varied between about 15 to 41, so as I said, a somewhat tricky wardrobe. I had to really wrack my outfit brains to cover all bases and inevitably packed more outfits than days.
Barcelona
This jacket is perfect for changing temperatures because it comes with a detachable fur collar. This lived in my bag when it wasn't needed and gained the affectionate nickname from James 'the rat'.
I bought the cropped tee on a whim on my 'holiday prep' shopping, as you do.

Coín
Apologies for the smug expression but to be fair I had just been wolf whistled at by an African grey parrot. Coín, where my uncle lives, was about 5 degrees warmer than Barcelona and as they saying goes, sun's out guns out.

Marrakech
Marrakech tricked us. When we got off the train at 10.30 at night I had to put my coat on. The next day it was 30 odd.
I went out and bought some new maxi skirts before we left especially for Morocco because of the fact it's a Muslim country. I'm glad I did. Although I did see people wearing shorter hems, I think I'd have felt a bit stared at without the maxi length. This one and the green one further down are from Primark and are really light and sit at a really flattering height.
I knotted my vest to make it more of a crop top.

This candy stripe Americana shirt was another of the things I picked up on the 'holiday prep' shop. I just fell in love. I feel like it's so vintage and mint green is like, my vice. I paired it with another maxi and vintage hair and make up.

TOURIST ALERT! This was taken on the way to the Zagora desert where we stayed for a night with the Berber's. Nine hours on a cramped bus driving through the scorching desert requires comfort. Two words. Maxi dress.
Maxi Dress - New Look
What I call 'desert chic'. Fresh off a camel, we had been tricked into shedding five quid for this piece of cloth which is 'essential protection in the desert'. Turns out there weren't any sandstorms that day but hey, at least we looked the part.
After a late night dancing in the desert and a 6am start to watch the sun rise, comfort was high on the fashion agenda. Plus we had another camel ride and another killer bus journey back to Marrakech, so I went for harem pants and an aztec crop top. I definitely hadn't slept in the harems...
